Actor Emraan Hashmi reportedly had a close shave while filming a high-risk stunt for his upcoming film Gunmaaster G9. A behind-the-scenes video from the film’s climax sequence has surfaced online, showing an SUV flipping in mid-air before crashing onto a black van parked below. The vehicle appears to come dangerously close to the actor, raising questions about safety on the set.
In the footage, the crew prepares for the sequence as someone calls out a countdown. Moments later, the SUV, suspended from a crane, flips upside down and crashes onto the van’s roof. It remains unclear whether the stunt unfolded as planned or if an unexpected incident occurred. There have been no reports of injuries so far, and the film’s makers are yet to comment on the viral clip. The location where the sequence was filmed is also unknown.
The video surfaced weeks before Gunmaaster G9 is scheduled to release in theatres worldwide on November 27. Directed by Aditya Datt, the action-romantic film stars Emraan alongside Genelia Deshmukh, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Singh.
In August, the makers unveiled the film’s first glimpse, introducing Emraan as Eshwar, a dairy farm owner willing to go to extraordinary lengths to protect the woman he loves.
The film’s shoot had earlier made headlines in June after the crew reportedly faced objections from locals in Haridwar. A signboard reading “Bar and Caf” at the filming location led some residents to believe that an actual bar was operating in the holy city, triggering a gathering that disrupted the shoot.
Producer Deepak Mukut later clarified that the team had no intention of hurting anyone’s religious sentiments and that the matter was resolved after discussions with residents. He also expressed surprise at the allegations, saying he would never consider opening a bar in Haridwar.
Gunmaaster G9 follows Eshwar, whose determination to protect the woman he loves drives the story. The film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on November 27.
