Dhurandhar 2 box office day 13: No slowing down, film nears Rs 1,500 crore globally

Dhurandhar: The Revenge is on a blockbuster run at the box office and is showing no signs of slowing down. Having surpassed the collection of its first part in just 11 days, the film is now set to cross the Rs 1,500-crore mark globally.

The first Dhurandhar, which released in theatres on December 5, earned a total collection of Rs 1,307.35 crore in its lifetime. With strong buzz around the second film, the collections are only going to grow.

Box office collection so far

According to trade website Sacnilk, Dhurandhar 2 has achieved worldwide gross collections of Rs 1,435.41 crore in 13 days, with India contributing Rs 1,077.41 crore and overseas markets Rs 358 crore. The nett (gross minus taxes) collections stand at Rs 899.92 crore across 267,853 shows in India.

On its second Tuesday at the domestic box office, the film earned a gross collection of Rs 33.22 crore and a nett collection of Rs 27.75 crore. These figures demonstrate the film’s sustained popularity among audiences.

All-time worldwide ranking

Currently, Dhurandhar 2 holds the fourth position in the all-time worldwide gross list, behind Dangal (2016), Baahubali 2 (2017), and Pushpa 2 (2024). Dangal remains the highest-grossing Indian film worldwide, with around Rs 2,070 crore, largely due to its strong performance in China, where it collected over Rs 1,300 crore. Baahubali 2 amassed approximately Rs 1,788 crore worldwide, while Pushpa 2 earned around Rs 1,742 crore. Dhurandhar 2 is rapidly closing the gap with these films.

Cast and release details

Dhurandhar 2, also known as Dhurandhar: The Revenge, was released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The film stars Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Udaybir Sandhu, Gaurav Gera, and Rakesh Bedi in key roles.

India Today gave the film 3.5 stars. A part of the film review read, "Dhurandhar: The Revenge expands, sharpens, and builds on its predecessor. What the first film hinted at, this one executes with intent: more violence, more scale, more emotional rupture, and a far deeper obsession with revenge."

The film had its theatrical release on March 19 and continues to garner praise and attract audiences across multiple languages and regions.
