Cocktail 2 box office Day 4: Just Rs 15 crore away from Rs 100-crore mark globally

Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna's Cocktail 2 has crossed Rs 85 crore worldwide in four days and is now less than Rs 15 crore away from the Rs 100-crore milestone. Despite a Monday dip, the film has already surpassed the lifetime collections of several recent Bollywood releases.

Actors Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna's Cocktail 2 is inching closer to the coveted Rs 100-crore mark worldwide. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics and audiences, the romantic drama has maintained a strong run at the box office, crossing Rs 85 crore globally in just four days. While the film witnessed the expected dip on its first Monday, it remains one of the stronger performers among recent Bollywood releases.

According to the latest box office figures, Cocktail 2 collected a nett of Rs 6.35 crore in India on Day 4 across 9,785 shows. This took its total India gross collection to Rs 64.56 crore, while its cumulative India nett collection now stands at Rs 53.85 crore.

Overseas, the film earned Rs 1.50 crore on Monday, pushing its total overseas gross to Rs 20.75 crore. With this, the worldwide gross collection of the film has reached Rs 85.31 crore, leaving it less than Rs 15 crore short of the Rs 100-crore milestone.

The film opened to a solid response at the box office and witnessed steady growth over its first weekend. On its opening Friday, the romantic comedy earned Rs 16.20 crore gross and Rs 13.50 crore nett.

Collections grew to Rs 19.50 crore gross and Rs 16.25 crore nett on Saturday, before peaking on Sunday with Rs 21.20 crore gross and Rs 17.50 crore nett.

The film has also crossed the Rs 50 crore nett mark in India. In the process, it has surpassed the India net collection of Varun Dhawan's Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, which earned Rs 50.60 crore.

Cocktail 2 has also overtaken the lifetime India nett collection of Ayushmann Khurrana's Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, which stood at Rs 51.35 crore.

Directed by Homi Adajania, Cocktail 2 stars Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. The film has been co-written by Luv Ranjan and Tarun Jain and produced by Dinesh Vijan, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg under the banners Maddock Films and Luv Films.

The film serves as a spiritual sequel to the 2012 hit Cocktail, which featured Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty in key roles.
