A video showing a paragliding pilot plucking leaves from a treetop mid-flight and gifting them to a woman passenger has gone viral on social media as several questioned both the professionalism and safety of the gesture.
The video, shared by X account Saffron Chargers, showed the pilot reaching toward treetops while paragliding over hilly terrain. After plucking a few leaves, he handed them to the passenger.
Then, the pilot told the woman, “Yeh lijiye, ma’am. Phool toh thaa nahi, patte hain aapke liye (I couldn’t find any flowers for you, so I picked these leaves instead. Here, these are for you).”
While some viewers found the gesture playful, others raised concerns over whether such behaviour was appropriate while on duty.
Sharing the clip, Saffron Chargers questioned whether the pilot should be engaging in such acts with a passenger during work, arguing that he should have behaved more professionally.
The post also flagged potential safety concerns, adding: “He should have behaved like a professional. It was also an unnecessary safety risk.”
India Today could not independently verify the authenticity of the video.
The video has since drawn mixed reactions online, with some defending the pilot’s gesture as light-hearted, while others argued that safety and professionalism should remain the top priority during such activities.
