Anushka Ranjan, Aditya Seal celebrate godh bharai ahead of welcoming first child

Ahead of welcoming their first child, Anushka Ranjan and Aditya Seal celebrated a traditional godh bharai (baby shower) ceremony with family members and loved ones. Anushka shared glimpses from the occasion on social media, posting photos with Aditya, her family and her sister Akansha Ranjan.

The actor posted a series of photographs on Instagram on Sunday as she and Aditya prepare to welcome their first child. The pictures showed the couple celebrating the occasion with their family, and Anushka added a separate caption to each photo.

One of the pictures showed Aditya sitting on Anushka's lap as they smiled for the camera. She captioned it, "My kind of GodhBharai." Another picture showed the couple holding hands and gazing at each other lovingly. In another image, Akansha was seen kissing Anushka on the cheek. Anushka also shared several family photographs from the ceremony, including moments with her in-laws.

For the ceremony, Anushka wore a orange salwar kameez, while Aditya wore a yellow kurta with white pyjamas. Along with the photos, Anushka wrote personal notes for her loved ones. She called Aditya her "jaan baba", referred to her sister as her "lifeline", and thanked her family members.

The celebration came shortly after Anushka and Aditya announced that they are expecting their first child. The couple had shared maternity photographs on social media with a note that read, "I've waited a hundred years, but I'd wait a million more for you. Nothing prepared me for what the privilege of being yours would do."

Anushka and Aditya were together for several years before getting married in Mumbai in November 2021. They met at an event hosted by her family. Aditya did not have the best first impression of Anushka when they first met, while Anushka was instantly drawn to him. Their friendship later turned into a relationship.
