  • Structured silhouette, wide lapels and asymmetric zip gave the jacket definition
  • Intricate sleeve embellishments added texture and depth without overpowering the design
  • He styled it with elongated black layers for a fluid silhouette

Few celebrities wear black as consistently or as convincingly as Zayn Malik. The singer's wardrobe has long balanced edgy streetwear with clean tailoring, favouring timeless silhouettes over fleeting fashion trends. His latest Konnakol tour look in Mexico was a masterclass in that signature aesthetic, built around an embellished biker jacket by Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna.

This look marked yet another appearance by a global artist in an Indian homegrown creation.

The jacket, a sharply tailored piece featured a structured silhouette, wide lapels and an asymmetric zip closure. Drawing from classic biker-jacket codes, the design balanced ruggedness with a refined edge.

What elevated the piece, however, was the embellishment work running along the sleeves. The intricate detailing added texture and dimension without overwhelming the garment, transforming an otherwise classic black jacket into a performance-ready statement piece.

Rather than styling it as seen in the lookbook, Zayn paired it with elongated black layers underneath, creating a more fluid, slightly gothic silhouette that felt in tune with his signature aesthetic. The all-black palette allowed the textures, tailoring and embellishments to take centre stage.

Speaking about the look, Rahul Khanna said the jacket felt particularly suited to the singer's style.

"The Vice jacket felt particularly right for Zayn because his style has always balanced sharpness with ease. There's a certain masculinity to the way he dresses — understated, textural, and never overworked, which aligns naturally with our design language. We've dressed Zayn before, and what continues to make him relevant is his ability to bring together refinement and rebellion. Whether he's on stage or off-duty, there's an authenticity to his style that makes every piece he wears feel effortless."

Retailing at Rs 62,500 on the brand's website, the Midnight Embellished Biker Jacket demonstrates why monochrome dressing remains a favourite among musicians.
