Noida is set to witness significant traffic movement today as Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates the first phase of the Noida International Airport at Jewar.
In view of the large turnout, Noida Police has issued a detailed traffic advisory to manage congestion and ensure smooth movement. Restrictions have been imposed on goods vehicles across key routes, while diversions and parking arrangements have been put in place for those attending the event.
Authorities have urged commuters to plan their journeys accordingly and avoid affected routes unless necessary.
- GOODS VEHICLES RESTRICTED ON KEY ROUTES
According to the advisory, entry of light, medium, and heavy goods vehicles into Noida will remain restricted today.
The curbs will be in place from 7 am to 11 pm on major routes, including the Noida Expressway and Yamuna Expressway. However, non-transport vehicles and emergency services will not be affected by these restrictions.
- TRAFFIC DIVERSIONS FOR VISITORS
Special diversion plans have been introduced for visitors attending the inauguration event.
Vehicles coming from the Noida Expressway will be redirected towards Gautam Buddh Nagar University and then to the Dayantpur interchange, from where they will proceed to the designated parking areas.
Those travelling from Greater Noida West will be diverted at Pushta trisection and guided along similar routes.
- PARKING ARRANGEMENTS FOR A LARGE CROWD
To accommodate the expected crowd, authorities have set up 15 parking zones near the venue.
These parking facilities can handle around 14,700 heavy and medium vehicles and nearly 5,000 two-wheelers. The arrangements have been made for VIPs, media personnel, and the public attending the event.
- ROUTE PLAN BASED ON ENTRY POINTS
The advisory also details specific routes and parking allocations depending on where visitors are travelling from.
VIPs will enter through the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway link road, which connects to the Yamuna Expressway, and will be transported to the venue via shuttle services. Media vehicles will enter through the Kishorepur gate.
Visitors from Meerut and Ghaziabad via the Eastern Peripheral Expressway will be directed to parking zones 6 and 7.
Those arriving from Mathura and Aligarh will use parking areas 5, 9, and 11, while vehicles from Hapur, Bulandshahr, and Khurja will be guided to parking zones 13 and 14. Two-wheelers will be accommodated in parking area 4.

The administration has also issued a traffic helpline number 9971009001 for assistance.
Officials have advised commuters to avoid unnecessary travel on affected routes, follow traffic instructions, and allow extra time for their journeys due to possible delays.
The inauguration of the Noida International Airport marks a significant development for the region’s connectivity. However, with a large crowd expected, traffic management remains a key concern.
