The posts surfaced days after online rumours claimed that Kriti and Kabir had broken up. The speculation picked up after a photograph of Kabir with another woman was circulated on social media. Soon after, Kriti shared a post with moments from the first half of the year, and a source close to the entrepreneur also denied the claims.

Kabir shared a selfie with Kriti on social media and wrote, "Happy K dayyy", along with a blue heart, birthday cake and party-face emoji. He also posted another photograph of the two posing together on a yacht with a red heart emoji. Kriti later reshared both posts on her Instagram Stories.

The breakup rumours had started after some social media users circulated a photograph of Kabir with another woman and assumed that he and Kriti were no longer together.

However, Kriti appeared to respond to the chatter through an Instagram post featuring moments from the first half of the year. One of the pictures showed her at a family function during singer Sukhbir's performance. In that image, she was seen standing close to Kabir, with both facing away from the camera.

Earlier this month, Kriti was among the spectators at Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham or the India vs England ODI, where she was seen enjoying the match with Kabir. Photos of the two from the stands had gone viral.

A source close to Kabir also denied the rumours and clarified the identity of the woman seen in the other photograph. Speaking to The Times of India, the source said she was a family friend whom Kabir considers a sister. The source added that the image had been misread and criticised the spread of unverified claims on social media.

Kabir's birthday wishes and Kriti's recent social media posts came shortly after the breakup rumours began circulating online, bringing attention back to speculation around their relationship.
