The rift between David and Victoria Beckham and their son Brooklyn Beckham appears to have deepened. This came after his sister Harper Beckham paid and unnanounced visit to Brooklyn's Los Angeles home, which he called it as a staged publicity move rather than an attempt at reconciliation.

The development follows reports that Harper, 14, arrived at the home with what appeared to be a handwritten note, only to leave shortly afterwards when neither Brooklyn nor his wife, Nicola Peltz, was there.

According to Page Six, Harper arrived unannounced in an SUV and was photographed as she went to Brooklyn's mansion. A representative for Brooklyn and Nicola told the publication that the couple believed the visit had been orchestrated for media attention, adding that Brooklyn saw it as a public display rather than a spontaneous gesture from his younger sister.

"The fact that photographers were in place as the letter was hand-delivered says it all, this was choreographed for the cameras," the spokesperson said.

Friends of David and Victoria Beckham have since spoken in defence of Harper. A source close to the family told the Daily Mail that Brooklyn's reaction was particularly hurtful given Harper's age and her wish to reconnect with her brother.

"It is incredibly sad that this horrible accusation is being levelled at an innocent young girl who just desperately misses her brother," the insider said.

"Nothing needed to be said at all, so to invent this nasty accusation is really unnecessary," the source added.

The insider also claimed that Brooklyn has not been in touch with Harper or his grandparents since the family fallout began.

Harper's visit came shortly after David Beckham was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Harper attended the ceremony with her mother Victoria and brothers Romeo and Cruz as the family marked the occasion, while Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz were notably absent.

Beckham family feud

The rift in the family began Brooklyn's explosive January Instagram posts, where he accused his famous parents, David and Victoria Beckham, of trying to sabotage his marriage with Nicola Peltz Beckham. He claimed they valued "public promotion and endorsements above all else" and even alleged they attempted to "bribe" him over his name rights.

Despite the rift, sources close to the family insisted that the Beckhams have tried to mend fences.

Brooklyn and Nicola, who got married in a lavish Florida ceremony in April 2022, reportedly wanted to live quietly but felt compelled to address "relentless inaccuracies."
