Actor-comedian Jim Carrey weds longtime girlfriend Min Ah in third marriage

Hollywood star Jim Carrey has married longtime partner Min Ah in a private Los Angeles ceremony. The wedding follows their first public appearance together in Paris and caps a largely low-key relationship.

Hollywood actor Jim Carrey has married his longtime girlfriend, Min Ah, in a small private ceremony in Los Angeles, according to TMZ, which reported the development on Wednesday, September 30. The marriage comes seven months after the couple made their public debut at the Cesar Awards in Paris in February, where Carrey accepted an honorary award.

At the Cesar Awards, Min Ah was seated with Carrey’s daughter, Jane, and his grandson, Jackson. Jane is Carrey’s daughter with his first wife, Melissa Womer. During his acceptance speech, delivered in French, Carrey thanked his family before speaking directly to Min Ah.

“Thank you to my wonderful family, my daughter Jane, and my grandson Jackson. I love you now and forever. Thank you to my sublime companion, Min Ah. I love you, Min Ah,” he said.

Carrey and Min Ah have kept their relationship largely private. People reported that they were first photographed together in February 2022 after leaving a charity comedy show hosted by Judd Apatow at Largo in Los Angeles.

This is Carrey’s third marriage. The Truman Show star married Womer, a former actor and Comedy Store waitress, in 1987. They divorced in 1995 and share daughter Jane, 38. He then married his Dumb and Dumber co-star Lauren Holly in 1996, but the marriage ended in 1997 after lasting less than a year.

Carrey also dated model and actor Jenny McCarthy from 2005 to 2010. He was later linked to his Kidding co-star Ginger Gonzaga. They made their red carpet debut at the Showtime Golden Globes Nominees Celebration in January 2019 and split later that year.

His appearance at the Cesar Awards in February also drew attention on social media, where some users speculated about changes in his appearance and suggested he had undergone plastic surgery. His representative, Marleah Leslie, rejected online claims that a “clone” or an impersonator had appeared at the ceremony instead of Carrey. “Jim Carrey attended the Cesar Awards, where he accepted his Honorary Cesar Award,” Leslie told Page Six on March 2.

Carrey’s marriage to Min Ah follows their low-key relationship and their first public appearance together in Paris earlier this year, where he thanked her alongside his daughter and grandson during his honorary Cesar acceptance speech.
