Ranbir Kapoor's Animal Park eyes 2027 release | Exclusive

T-Series head Bhushan Kumar shared several updates about upcoming projects, including Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal Park. Animal released in 2023 to massive box office success.

Franchise films have become the cornerstone of the Hindi film industry, with a surge in sequel announcements following the success of Gadar 2 and Stree 2. Bhushan Kumar, T-Series' Managing Director, shared updates on several upcoming franchise films, including Animal Park, Border 2, De De Pyaar De 2, and Raid 2.

Kumar confirmed that Animal Park, starring Ranbir Kapoor, is on track, with production slated to begin after Spirit. He mentioned that Raid 2 and De De Pyaar De 2 are ready for release in 2025, while Spirit, Dhamaal 3, and Border 2 are expected to release the following year. Animal Park is eyeing a 2027 release.

Kumar revealed that the first schedules for Border 2 and Spirit, starring Prabhas, will begin by year’s end. He also mentioned that Dhamaal 3 is set to start soon. "We just wrapped up the first schedule of a film directed by Anurag Basu with Kartik Aaryan, and we’ll begin the next schedule in November," he added.

On Border 2, Kumar explained how the franchise has evolved, “JP Sir had the franchise, and his daughter Nidhi approached us to partner. We wanted to turn it into a larger franchise, and after the success of Gadar, I knew Border would hit another level. With a cast including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahaan Shetty, it’s now a massive project.”

Currently, T-Series' Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, has been performing well at the box office, with the current collection standing around Rs 148 crore in the first week of its release.
