- Diljit Dosanjh urges fans to use metro for Delhi concert on October 30
- Concert at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium must end by 10 pm, no parking available
- Metro services extended till midnight with extra trains for the event
Diljit Dosanjh has a few requests for fans heading to his Delhi concert on October 30, and they're not just about singing along. The singer has urged concertgoers to take the metro instead of driving to Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, where parking won't be available. There's also a strict 10 pm deadline for the show to wrap up, which means fans will have to be in their seats well before the music starts.
Dosanjh addressed the arrangements during an Instagram Live session on October 29, just a day before the concert. He told fans that metro services would run until midnight and advised them to make the most of the extended timings rather than get stuck in traffic and road diversions. He also asked everyone to reach the venue and settle in by 6.30 pm, so the performance could begin without delay.
The reason for the urgency? The authorities have allowed the team just one day at the venue, with a firm 10 pm cut-off. Dosanjh admitted that fitting his entire set into the allotted time could be a challenge. The singer has so many songs lined up that some might have to be dropped from the performance.
He also gave fans a little preview of what to expect. Dosanjh said he wouldn't be performing Jind Mahi Aaja Ve, but confirmed that Sanson Ki Mala would be sung live. And if you're already wondering when he'll return to Delhi, the singer revealed that his next concert in the city will only happen in 2028.
The good news for those taking his metro advice is that the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has made special arrangements for the concert. Services across all lines, except the Airport Express Line and Rapid Metro Gurugram, will continue until midnight. Additional trains will be deployed across the network, with standby trains ready to manage any unexpected rush. The window to purchase QR tickets through the Delhi Metro Sarthi app has also been extended by an hour.
Getting to the stadium by road, meanwhile, could be a different story. Delhi Police have issued a traffic advisory, with restrictions and diversions around Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and nearby roads between 1 pm and midnight on October 30. With no parking available at the venue, driving there is best avoided.
The Delhi concert will kick off Dosanjh's RuPay Aura India Tour 2026. Following Delhi-NCR, the singer is scheduled to perform in Indore on November 15, Ahmedabad on November 21, Mumbai on November 27, Bengaluru on November 29 and Lucknow on December 5.
The singer-actor has been balancing his music commitments with his work in Indian cinema, but the coming weeks will largely belong to his tour. For Delhi fans, though, there's one last thing to remember: take the metro, get there by 6.30 pm and don't expect the concert to stretch beyond 10.
