Actor Samantha’s return to Telugu cinema with Maa Inti Bangaram has been postponed, with the film now set to release in cinemas worldwide on June 19. The film, directed by Nandini Reddy, had earlier been scheduled to arrive on May 15.
Announcing the change, the makers said the release had been postponed to avoid a clash with the IPL season.
In a statement, the team said, “Tralala Moving Pictures has announced that its upcoming production Maa Inti Bangaram, starring Samantha, will now release worldwide on June 19, 2026, moving from its previously announced date of May 15. The decision was made to avoid a clash with the IPL season.”
Maa Inti Bangaram marks Samantha’s return to Telugu cinema in a lead role. Her last full-fledged film was Kushi, which released in theatres in 2023. Along with starring in the Maa Inti Bangaram, she is also backing the project through her banner, Tralala Moving Pictures. Raj Nidimoru is co-producing the film alongside Himank Duvvuru.
The makers have already begun promotions for the film. The song Thassadiya has been doing well, and Samantha’s dance in the track has drawn wide attention on social media, with many reels being made around it. She has also been promoting the film through interviews, including a light-hearted interaction with actor Vennela Kishore.
The teaser and trailer have created strong interest around the film, which has been presented as a gritty and realistic action thriller with a layer of family emotion. The project is also notable for Samantha performing action scenes without using a body double for the first time. With the new release date now in place, the film will arrive in June instead of its earlier May slot.
