As Lagaan prepares to complete 25 years, Aamir Khan is reportedly planning a grand celebration to mark the milestone. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the celebrations will begin with the theatrical re-release of Lagaan on June 12. The following day, June 13, members of the film's team are expected to gather at a five-star hotel in Mumbai for a special anniversary event organised by Khan.

A source told the portal, “The party will be held on Saturday, June 13, at a five-star hotel in Mumbai. The entire team of Lagaan has been invited for the bash. This doesn’t just include the principal and supporting cast, but every unit member and others who had contributed to the film. It’ll be a huge reunion for the whole team and they’ll go down memory lane and share their special memories associated with Lagaan."
The source said Aamir is excited to host the reunion and celebrate a film that remains close to his heart.
According to the source, the actor is looking forward to reconnecting with the cast and crew, revisiting memories from the making of Lagaan, and spending time with the team that brought the iconic film to life.

The period drama not only found massive success at home but also earned international acclaim, including an Academy Award nomination in the Best Foreign Language Film category.
Set in colonial India in 1893, the film follows a group of villagers who challenge British rulers to a game of cricket in an attempt to escape crushing taxes. The underdog story resonated with audiences worldwide and remains one of Bollywood's most celebrated films.
The film featured a large ensemble cast, including Gracy Singh, Rachel Shelley, Paul Blackthorne, Suhasini Mulay, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Raghubir Yadav, Yashpal Sharma and Amin Hajee, among others.
Another key element of the film's enduring popularity is its soundtrack by A R Rahman. Songs such as Ghanan Ghanan, Mitwa, Radha Kaise Na Jale and O Rey Chhori continue to enjoy a loyal fan following decades after their release.
