Actor Allu Arjun is not only generating excitement for his upcoming film, Pushpa 2: The Rule, but also taking a stance on a crucial issue. The actor recently participated in Telangana's anti-drug awareness campaign, delivering a powerful video message to the public.
The campaign video begins with a group of friends discussing a friend who used to enthusiastically create short videos during the Pushpa phenomenon, only to hear the response, “He’s now addicted to drugs.” The conversation transitions to a hopeful solution as another friend remarks, “Pushpa Raj already gave us the answer!”

The video then shifts to Allu Arjun delivering a powerful message, stating, “Let’s support by reporting people or friends who are drug addicts to the toll-free number provided. The government will help them join rehabilitation centres. This isn’t punishment but a way to help them. Together, let’s build a safer and healthier society.”
Sharing this video on his X handle, the Arya actor wrote, “Let’s unite to support the victims and work towards building a safer, healthier society. Humbled to join this impactful initiative by the Government of Telangana (sic)."

This campaign aligns with Telangana's broader initiative to leverage film celebrities to raise awareness about social issues like drug abuse and cybercrime. This directive is also linked to recent approvals for increased ticket prices for new film releases. Actor Jr NTR, too, recently participated in a similar campaign for his film Devara: Part 1, urging young people to avoid drug use.
Meanwhile, promotions for Pushpa 2: The Rule are in full swing, with the trailer and other pre-release events receiving enthusiastic responses across India. The film, directed by Sukumar and co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, is set for a grand release on December 5, 2024.
