Tamil actor and filmmaker Balaji Patturaj, popularly known as RJ Balaji, reacted to the whole Nayanthara vs Dhanush case that erupted into a controversy last weekend. During his appearance on a show, the RJ, actor, TV presenter and director recalled working with Nayanthara and Dhanush on the 2015 film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan.
The popular actor agreed that he was aware of the controversy involving Nayanthara and Dhanush. He said he got to know about it from social media, like everyone else. "Much like you, I found out about this online, too. The audience seems to be entertained (by their fight). But what can I say? Dhanush sir didn’t respond to it. Who am I to comment on this?" he said during a fan festival hosted by Galatta on Sunday, November 17 in Chennai.
RJ Balaji called both Nayanthara and Dhanush 'mature' actors and mentioned that he was hopeful of them sorting out their differences. "They are both mature actors; they could deal with the issue legally or through social media. They could talk and work it out or not. They’ll take the call. My focus is on my movie with Suriya sir," he concluded, referring to his next film in which he's directing the Kanguva star.
On Saturday, Nayanthara posted a three-page open letter against Dhanush after the latter sent her a Rs 10 crore legal notice for using a three-second BTS clip from the sets of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in her Netflix documentary titled Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairytale. She called Dhanush a 'tyrant' and a small-hearted person. Nayanthara also accused him of faking a kind image in front of the fans by wearing a 'fake mask'. The actor asked him to 'practice' what he preaches in his speeches at film events.
Dhanush or anyone else from his team hasn't spoken about the matter yet.
