It’s an exciting chapter for Anne Hathaway, and the Oscar-winning actress is embracing it with equally exciting fashion choices. As she awaits the arrival of her third child, Hathaway is also busy promoting her upcoming film The End of Oak Street, her fourth release of the year.

At the film’s Los Angeles premiere, Hathaway made a bold maternity fashion statement. She proudly showed off her baby bump in a high-low top by designer Prabal Gurung, pairing the statement piece with a classic pair of jeans.

The outfit – a blend of casual and high-end fashion - marked a departure from her gown- and dress-heavy maternity looks she sported during the promotional tour for Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey.

From the front, the pastel-blue top featured a cropped hem, while its back cascaded into a dramatic long train. She paired the statement top with a relaxed, baggy pair of jeans to complete the look. But that’s not where the details end.

Gurung added a striking pop of colour to the pastel-blue top with a vivid red lining, which peeked through the dramatic side and back panels of the flowing silhouette. The bold red detailing offered a playful contrast to the otherwise soft, monochromatic look.

Hathaway took the colour contrast a step further, pairing the look with vibrant red heels and a bold red lip.

Thanks to the look, expect the colour combination to become a fashion rage!

But not everyone was a fan of the look. Many fans expressed disappointment with the styling, with some even calling it a “fail.” In particular, the combination of the voluminous, flowing top and baggy jeans left some feeling that the overall look lacked polish and cohesion.

What are your thoughts on the look, though?
