The teaser of Haiwaan, starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, was released today. Directed by Priyadarshan, the upcoming thriller offers a dark and mysterious glimpse into a world where appearances may not be what they seem. In the teaser, Saif plays a blind man and Akshay's character builds curiosity.
The teaser keeps much of the plot under wraps, relying on atmospheric visuals, shadows and brief glimpses of the characters to build suspense. It also raises the central question of the film: “Hero ya Haiwaan?”
Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan appear to be at the centre of the mystery, with the teaser hinting at a confrontation between the two. However, their characters and the nature of their relationship remain unclear. Saif plays a blind man and is seen walking with the help of a stick, while Akshay appears to be keeping a close eye on him. At one point, he is seen watching Saif from close quarters, adding to the mystery surrounding their characters.

The film also features Boman Irani, Saiyami Kher and Shriya Pilgaonkar in pivotal roles. The makers have described the film as a thriller driven by mystery, danger and “haiwaaniyat”.
Haiwaan marks another collaboration with director Priyadarshan and features an ensemble cast alongside its two leads. The film is produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn under KVN Productions and Thespian Films.
The film is scheduled to release in theatres on September 11, 2026.
