In a newly released promotional video, Khan narrates the story of Mufasa, highlighting themes of perseverance, resilience, and eventual triumph -- qualities he says resonate with his personal experiences.

Speaking about the film, Khan shared how Mufasa’s rise as the king of the Pride Lands reflects a journey of overcoming challenges and fulfilling one’s destiny. The actor, often referred to as the Badshah of Indian cinema, noted that these qualities mirror his own rise in the entertainment industry, marked by dedication and hard work.

The film, directed by Barry Jenkins, explores the backstory of the beloved lion king. It follows Mufasa's transformation from an orphaned cub to a ruler of the Pride Lands, guided by Rafiki and a group of allies.
The movie will be released in India on December 20, 2024 in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, featuring a star-studded voice cast across all languages. Mahesh Babu will be voicing Mufasa for the Telugu version of the film.
