Watch: Nandamuri Balakrishna is Daaku Maharaj, Bobby Deol is villain in NBK109

Telugu actor Nandamuri Balakrishna's next film, NBK109, has been titled Daaku Maharaj. Directed by Bobby Kolli, the film stars Bobby Deol as the lead antagonist and is set for release on Sankranth 2025.

The makers of actor Nandamuri Balakrishna's new film, NBK109, released the title teaser of the film on Friday, November 15. The first look video of the film featured NBK, as he is popularly called, in a dacoit avatar, and hence the title, Daaku Maharaj. The film, which is arriving as the big Sankranth release next year, is the story of a 'king who fought without a kingdom' and a man who was reverred as the 'emperor who sent shivers down death itself'.

Sithara Entertainments, the official production company, backing the film, shared the first look video on Twitter, and introduced Balayya (another popular name of Nandamuri Balakrishna) in and as Daaky Maharaj.

Their caption on the official Twitter post read, "Witness the 𝑮𝑶ð‘ë 𝑶𝑭 ð‘ôð‘è𝑺𝑺𝑬𝑺 like never before!! Presenting the one and only #NandamuriBalakrishna Garu as #DaakuMaharaaj. Here’s the much-awaited title teaser. Brace yourselves for the ultimate power-packed experience on Jan 12, 2025 in Cinemas Worldwide (sic)."

The Telugu film features Bobby Deol as the main antagonist. While a glimpse of the actor is visible in the first-look video, a full-fledged look is yet to be revealed by the makers. The other stars who have been cast in Daaku Maharaj include Urvashi Rautela, Chandini CHowdhary, Pragya Jaiswal and Shraddha Srinath, among others. The film's music is composed by S Thaman, while it is written and directed by Bobby Kolli.

Daaku Maharaj is slated to hit the screens on January 12, 2025.
