The Hyderabad Police issued a fresh notice to actor Allu Arjun on Monday in connection with the death of a 35-year-old woman in a stampede during the premiere of his latest film, 'Pushpa 2: The Rise', at the Sandhya Theater in the city.

Sources told India Today TV that the notice summons Allu Arjun to appear for questioning today at 11 am in connection with the incident.

On December 4, a 35-year-old woman died, and her son was admitted to a hospital during a stampede-like situation at Hyderabad's iconic Sandhya Theatre. The incident took place as thousands of fans rushed to get a glimpse of Allu Arjun.

After the incident, the police lodged a case against the actor, his security team, and the theater management under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Chikkadpally police station.

Following the case, the actor was arrested on December 13. Later on the same day, he got interim bail from the Telangana High Court. He was subsequently released from the prison on the morning of December 14.

This development came against the backdrop of protestors vandalising the actor's Hyderabad residence on Sunday evening.

A group of people, claiming to be the students of Osmania University, stormed into the actor's home and demanded Rs 1 crore as compensation to the victim's family. They threw tomatoes and also destroyed the property.

The police arrested six people in connection with the incident. However, they all got bail from a Hyderabad Court today.
