CBSE is expected to open its verification and re-evaluation portal shortly, according to sources. The board has advised students and parents to rely only on official communication issued by CBSE and avoid speculation circulating on social media.
Sources said the board is making final preparations before opening the portal for post-result services.
"The verification and re-evaluation portal will open soon. Students should only rely on official communication from CBSE," sources said.
The development comes after several students and parents sought clarity on the timeline for verification of marks, photocopies of answer books and re-evaluation services following the declaration of Class 10 and Class 12 results.
RESULTS IN MAY
CBSE declared the Class 10 and Class 12 board examination results on May 13 this year. More than 42 lakh students had appeared for the examinations across the country and abroad.
Soon after the results were announced, students began applying for post-result services to review their performance and seek clarification on awarded marks.
The board had introduced a revised post-result process this year, allowing students to first obtain scanned copies of their evaluated answer books before deciding whether to seek verification or re-evaluation.
SCANNED ANSWER SHEETS MADE AVAILABLE
Under the revised process, students were given access to scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets.
The move was aimed at increasing transparency by allowing students to examine their answer books before applying for further review.
However, the process also drew attention after some students reported discrepancies in the scanned copies uploaded on the portal.
CBSE later acknowledged that a limited number of answer-sheet mix-ups had occurred during the scanning process and said corrective measures were taken after students raised concerns.
The board maintained that such cases were being addressed on priority.
NEXT STEP: VERIFICATION AND RE-EVALUATION
With the scanned-copy stage nearing completion, the next phase will allow students to apply for verification of marks and re-evaluation.
During verification, officials check whether all answers have been evaluated and whether marks have been calculated and transferred correctly.
Students who remain dissatisfied after obtaining their answer books and verification results can then apply for re-evaluation of specific answers.
CBSE had earlier postponed the opening of the verification and re-evaluation portal, saying additional measures were being taken to ensure a smooth process.
CBSE STUDENTS URGES STUDENTS NOT TO PANIC
Sources said the board expects a large number of applications once the portal opens.
Officials have advised students and parents to remain patient and wait for updates through CBSE's official website and communication channels.
The board has reiterated that any information regarding application dates, fees and procedures will be announced officially, and students should avoid relying on unverified messages circulating online.
For now, students awaiting verification and re-evaluation services have been asked to keep checking CBSE's official notifications as the portal is expected to open soon.
