Bhumi Pednekar to reunite with Akshay Kumar in Priyadarshan’s next movie

Mumbai: Actor Bhumi Pednekar is set to reunite with Akshay Kumar in filmmaker Priyadarshan’s upcoming film.

Priyadarshan has reportedly confirmed Bhumi’s casting in the project, which will mark her return to the screen alongside Akshay after their 2022 film Raksha Bandhan.

The yet-to-be-titled film is reportedly a comedy set in the 1970s, with Akshay playing a tiger hunter. Produced by Ramesh Taurani, the project is expected to begin filming in the last week of November 2026.

The shooting schedule is reportedly planned across Rajasthan and Mumbai, with Bhopal also being considered as a possible location. Actors Annu Kapoor and Rajpal Yadav are also reportedly part of the cast.

The film adds another collaboration to Akshay and Priyadarshan’s long association, which includes popular titles such as Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, Bhagam Bhag and Bhool Bhulaiyaa.

The film’s official title and further details about Bhumi’s character have not yet been announced.
