Youth arrested for posting obscene photos of ex-girlfriend on social media

Cuttack: Cuttack Cyber Police has reportedly arrested a 22-year-old youth on charges of posting some obscene photos of his ex-girlfriend on different social media platforms.
Subhendu Sutar of Kendrapara district was reportedly in a relationship with the girl for some time and everything was going on well between them. However, recently the lovebirds had some disagreement following which the girl ended her relationship with Subhendu.
Irked over the girl’s separation, Subhendu posted the obscene photos of ex-girlfriend on social media platforms.
After learning about her obscene photos on the social media platforms, the girl soon reported the matter to Cyber Police station in Cuttack and demanded action against Subhendu.

Immediately, the Cyber Police conducted a probe into the matter, arrested Subhendu and forwarded him to the court. Police also seized a mobile phone and two SIM cards from the possession of the accused.
The Cyber Police also registered a case against the accused under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (BNS) and the Information Technology (IT) Act.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
