Veteran Odia cinematographer Dilip Ray passes away at his Cuttack residence

Bhubaneswar: Elderly Odia cinematographer Dilip Ray passed away after suffering from age-related health problems in his residence in Gorakabar, Cuttack.
Known as a popular figure in the Odia film industry, Ray had served as a cinematographer in more than 70 Odia films and 15 Bengali films.
He was associated with popular Odia films like Chaka Bhaunri, Bidhi Bidhana, Bastra Harana, and Laxman Rekha.

It should be noted that Ray made history by becoming the first Odia cinematographer to win five State Film Awards for Best Cinematography.
Ray’s body would be taken to Puri on Thursday morning for darshan, and members of the fraternity, family, and public are to pay their last respects.
