New Delhi: 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi shattered the record books on his maiden tour when the teenager created a world record in India’s first T20 match against Zimbabwe in Harare.
The teenager smashed 50 from merely 19 balls and became the youngest to hit a T20 International fifty in the men’s category.
Batting like a seasoned pro on his maiden outing, chasing a modest 126 for victory, Sooryavanshi hammered four boundaries and four sixes before eventually getting out at 50.

The youngster’s knock provided the launchpad for a confident seven-wicket win for India with 40 deliveries to spare and saw the Indian side lead the 3-match series by 1-0.
His half-century was not only the fastest on a debut but also the quickest by any batsman in the men’s T20Is, reiterating his prodigious talents.
