Bhadrak: Following the unrest, the Odisha DGO visited Bhadrak and urged people not to get agitated over social media posts. It is further worth mentioning that as many as 27 people have been arrested due to the unrest in Bhadrak so far.

Internet services had been banned for more than 48 hours in the entire district. Apart from extending the suspension of internet services, the district administration said that the prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), which was imposed on September 27 following a communal tension over controversial social media post, will remain in force for an indefinite period.
