New Delhi: The much-awaited box office clash of “Godzilla Minus Zero” and “Ramayana: Part 1,” is set to begin, but it might face a problem in India. According to reports, Godzilla vs. Godzilla: The Minus Zero will not be able to release this year in India.

This will be the second movie of Akshay Kumar to hit the big screen in the festive season as 1994 actioner Mohra is also releasing during Diwali.

Zero makers have not officially announced any alteration in the Indian release dates.

The film is directed by Takashi Yamazaki and is set to follow the Oscar-winning Godzilla Minus One. Some Godzilla Minus Zero is expected to attract viewers to Godzilla Minus Zero with grand visual effects.

The film was initially slated for release in Indian theatres on or about November 6, aligning with the release period of Ramayana: Part 1.

Both films are being released on premium screens, of which IMAX is the biggest; thus screen counts could prove decisive in determining their commercial fate.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana: Part 1 features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The mythological extravaganza is one of the most awaited Indian films of the year and is certain to draw a huge crowd over the festival period.

A throwback to the old school days, Mohra starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Raveena Tandon will be re-releasing in 4K theatrical on November 6.

If Godzilla Minus Zero has its Indian release, Ramayana might stand a better chance of getting IMAX screens. Until then, moviegoers will have to see an official announcement before the showdown happens.
