Over the weekend, Mathis and Reese were spotted together being all lovey-dovey, marking their first public appearance as a unit since the news of their impending divorce hit the social media timelines back in August. Speaking to TMZ briefly, the beloved couple told the outlet that they’re doing well now, which is in stark contrast to the status they had just one month prior. At the time, Mathis was cautiously optimistic about reconciling with Reese but he was adamant that he would win her back.

Now, it appears his attempts were successful and the journey to get back on the right page with his wife has led him on a new mission to “help Black love.”
“I think what happens is sometimes in life, God has to break you down to lift you up and put you on another mission. “We’re standing here right now, together,” Reese said, with Mathis adding: “It speaks for itself.”
