A deleted recording blows up Melania's Epstein story

A former model with a messy history around Trumpworld and Jeffrey Epstein has made a new, disputed claim about how Melania Trump met Donald Trump. Just about the only people claiming Epstein didn't introduce the two odious pairs are the pair themselves.

The Daily Beast reports that Amanda Ungaro, a former Brazilian model and ex-partner of Paolo Zampolli, posted and then deleted a recording alleging that Jeffrey Epstein introduced Melania Trump to Donald Trump.

Former Brazilian model Amanda Ungaro dropped the bombshell allegation on a taped recording, accusing her ex-partner, modeling agent-turned-presidential envoy Paolo Zampolli, of lying about introducing Melania and Donald Trump at a party in 1998.

The story of how Melania Knauss later met her future husband while working as one of Zampolli's models in New York is now part of MAGA folklore.

It is also something the first lady referenced when she held a surprise press conference in April, mysteriously denouncing what she claimed were "mean-spirited and politically motivated lies" linking her to the late child sex trafficker.

But in her recording posted on X overnight, Ungaro, who has been locked in a bitter custody battle with Zampolli for months, disputes this version of events.DailyBeast

That contradicts the long-running Zampolli version, in which he says he introduced the couple at a 1998 New York party. It also contradicts Melania Trump's own public denial earlier this year, when she said she met Trump "by chance" at a New York party and did not meet Epstein until 2000.

The allegation may or may not hold up.
