Boy George's Pro-Israel AI Slop Reggae Song was Promotional Stunt for Playing Herod in Jesus Christ Superstar

In 2018, I won the coveted "every word more horrifying than the last" award for the headline "Spiders Blamed After Broken Siren Played Creepy Nursery Rhymes Randomly To British Townsfolk." I expect to win this award a second time, thanks to famed singer Boy George's latest antics turning out to have an amazing contextual backdrop.

Boy George will no longer appear in the West End production of Jesus Christ Superstar. The decision, announced by George's manager Paul Kemsley on Instagram yesterday, comes in the wake of the 1980s pop singer's new AI-generated pro-Israel song, "We Will Dance Again." "George has never been afraid to stand by his personal convictions, and I have always respected him for that," Kemsley wrote. In the abstract, the song might be understood either as earnest ("I feel very connected to the Jewish people," he said in May) or trolling ("I'm not necessarily connected to Israel. I don't really have an opinion on that," he added) but you can't appreciate it second-hand. He (or a Suno persona approximating him?) sings that Hamas murdered them for the crime of dancing. One must subject oneself to it or, to quote Ludwig Wittgenstein, passover it in silence.
