A film entirely from the perspective of a chicken

by · Boing Boing

I love chickens. Everyone does, I think, and some even love them a little too much. They're cute as hell and delicious in sandwiches! It is, perhaps, this mass appeal that sparked the creation of upcoming Greek film The Hen, which, as the name implies, takes place entirely from the perspective of a chicken.

I know experimental movies from the perspective of animals are the butt of many jokes from people who think Marvel is the height of cinema, but The Hen really does look absolutely adorable, close-up shots of egg-laying and all. It will apparently revolve around the titular hen navigating "greed, smuggling, and the migrant crisis," using an animal's eyes to examine these complex, deeply human issues.

I've never rooted for a chicken so hard in my life.
