Pope Francis appeals Intl community to make efforts to stop bombings in Lebanon - Greater Kashmir

Srinagar, Sep 25: Pope Francis on Wednesday appealed to international community to make every effort to stop terrible escalation in Lebanon.

He termed the bombings, death and destruction “unacceptable”, and expressed solidarity with the people of Lebanon.

In a post on X, Pope Francis said: “I am saddened by the news coming from #Lebanon about bombings, death, and destruction. May the international community make every effort to stop this terrible escalation. It is unacceptable. I express my solidarity with the Lebanese people, who have already suffered too much”.
