The Streets play to sellout crowd at Bristol Sounds 2026

by · BristolLive

The Streets took to the stage last night for their first of two sold out headline shows at this year's Bristol Sounds live music series.

Thousands of people flocked to the Amphitheatre to watch Mike Skinner and co perform 'A Grand Don't Come for Free', their second studio album, in full, plus many more of their hits.

Like the album cover, Mike Skinner spent many songs stood on stage in a green bus shelter, performing hits like 'Blinded by the Lights' and 'Fit but You Know It', as well as 'Dry Your Eyes', 'Has It Come to This' and 'Let's Push Things Forward'.

The group were supported by Casisdead and Jimothy Lacoste, and will take to the stage for a second sold out show on Saturday (June 27) ahead of England's World Cup game against Panama, which kicks off after the show. Fans can stick around to watch the match, included in a Bristol Sounds ticket.

Friday night will see Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark headline the Amphitheatre stage, and Royel Otis are set to close out the festival on Sunday (June 28).
