Amazing pictures capture lightning storm over Bristol

These spectaular pictures capture dramatic lighting over Bristol during last night's storm.

Huge bolts of lightning could be seen actoss the city as the storm blew in.

It provided welcome relief after another hot day, with temperatures hitting the mid 30sC.

But there will be no respite as it's going to be hot again today. The Met Office says Bristol will enjoy full sun all day, but with a more manageable 27C.
