2026 Hero Xtreme 160R Launch

Set to launch on October 16th, new 2026 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is likely to be redesigned with new silhouette. One can expect a host of features added to make everyday use far more friendlier to prospective buyers. While expected changes are mostly added features, there could be more visual and functional changes with upcoming 2026 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V as well.

Comparing the motorcycle in the latest teaser with current Xtreme 160R 4V model, we can see a host of changes with design and overall rider’s triangle. However, the new teaser does not have a rear tyre hugger, which was a definitive change seen in the previous teaser.

Expected changes are in areas around the fuel tank, seat, headlights and tail lights. With the new Xtreme 160R 4V, there could be changes in ergonomics too, offering what buyers in this segment crave for. There is a probability of there being improved brakes to boost confidence in the rider.

TFT Instrument Cluster

However, the main update with 2026 Xtreme 160R 4V is expected to be the TFT instrument cluster. If you are wondering whether Xtreme 160R already has TFT cluster as suggested by official social media posts by Hero MotoCorp, the answer is no. Currently, Xtreme 160R 4V only gets a LCD cluster with turn-by-turn navigation.

With a TFT cluster, 2026 Xtreme 160R 4V could also offer Google Maps mirroring that both of its immediate rivals are offering. One can expect features like document storage, lap timer, auto brightness and other attributes. Cruise control along with ETB is highly likely to continue. Powertrain changes are less likely, but there is a small probability.

Currently, Xtreme 160R 4V is powered by a 163.2cc single-cylinder 4V engine with 16.9 PS and 14.9 Nm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. In terms of pricing, current Xtreme 160R 4V costs between Rs 1.35 lakh and Rs 1.38 lakh (Ex-sh). With the updated pricing, there could be a hike in price, or Hero could retain prices to keep a competitive edge.
