New Mahindra XUV7XO Bookings

Pre-bookings for the Mahindra XUV7XO will open at 12:00 PM on December 15, 2025, with an advance token amount of Rs 21,000

Mahindra has shared fresh teaser images of its upcoming premium SUV, the XUV7XO, ahead of the opening of pre-bookings on December 15, 2025. The new teaser offers clearer visual hints of the SUV’s exterior design, reinforcing that this is more than just a mild update to the existing XUV700 and will carry a distinct identity of its own. Positioned as a new-age premium SUV, the XUV7XO is set to build on the strong legacy of the XUV700, which has crossed 3 lakh customers in just over four years. Mahindra has already confirmed that the XUV7XO will officially launch on January 5, 2026.

Mahindra has clarified that pre-bookings for the XUV7XO, opening on December 15, are primarily aimed at helping customers secure an early position in the booking queue, rather than allowing them to lock in exact specifications. At this stage, buyers will not be able to choose their preferred variant, transmission, or fuel option. Detailed configuration and full-fledged bookings are expected to open closer to the official launch on January 5, 2026, when customers will be able to finalise their exact XUV7XO variant and specifications.

New Teaser Reveals Sharper Front-End Design

The latest teaser reveals several key exterior elements for the first time. At the front, the XUV7XO gets a new black grille finished with sharp, angular chrome slats and a large Mahindra Twin Peaks logo placed prominently at the centre. The grille design appears more upright and aggressive, giving the SUV a stronger road presence compared to the current XUV700.

Also visible are redesigned LED DRLs and projector headlamps, suggesting an updated lighting signature. The ORVMs now feature integrated turn indicators, while the teaser also confirms a new alloy wheel design, hinting at a more premium and sportier stance.

Updated Rear Styling and New Branding

At the rear, the teaser confirms revised LED tail-lamps with a fresh lighting pattern. The XUV7XO branding is clearly visible on the tailgate. This further strengthens Mahindra’s intent to position the XUV7XO as a step forward rather than just a routine refresh. While the overall silhouette remains familiar, the detailing at both ends suggests a more modern and sharper design direction, in line with Mahindra’s recent SUV design language.

Cabin Highlights: Triple Screens and Premium Upgrades

Although the new teaser focuses on the exterior, earlier spy shots have already revealed significant cabin upgrades. The XUV7XO will feature a triple-screen layout similar to Mahindra’s XEV 9e, comprising three 12.3-inch displays for infotainment, digital instrumentation, and co-driver entertainment. Rear passengers will continue with a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) entertainment setup.

Other interior updates include a new two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Twin Peaks logo, soft-touch brown-and-black leatherette upholstery, redesigned AC vents with chrome accents, an auto-dimming IRVM, and a premium Harman Kardon audio system. These changes are aimed at elevating the overall cabin experience to match newer premium rivals.

Powertrains to Remain Unchanged

Mahindra XUV7XO will continue with the existing engine options, which remain among the most powerful in the segment. These include the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and the 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engines, paired with 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic gearboxes. While no mechanical overhaul is expected, Mahindra is likely to fine-tune refinement, NVH levels, and drivability as part of the update.
