Hyundai Europe has announced the new Bayon’s debut at the Paris Motor Show, while the India-spec SUV’s reveal date remains under wraps

Hyundai’s upcoming Bayon now has a global debut date. Hyundai Europe has announced that the new SUV will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show on October 12, 2026. While the European unveiling is confirmed, Hyundai has yet to announce a debut date for the Indian version.

With official teasers already being released, the India-spec Bayon is expected to break cover sometime in October, potentially around the European model’s debut. However, a simultaneous unveiling has not been confirmed.

New Bayon Europe Spec To Debut At Paris Motor Show

The October 12 reveal will provide a clearer look at the new European Bayon’s design and positioning. It should also help establish how closely the SUV is related visually to the version being teased for India.

Despite sharing the Bayon name, the European and Indian versions are likely to have differences in exterior styling, cabin design, powertrains and equipment. Hyundai’s India-specific announcements will be important in establishing the final dimensions, engine options and feature list for the local market.

India Teasers Reveal H-Edge Lighting

The latest Indian teasers highlight Hyundai’s H-Edge lighting treatment at the front and rear. Up front, a slim horizontal white lighting element meets a broader vertical section at the outer edge. The assembly sits within a dark surround, with a pronounced bonnet crease visible above it.

The teaser focuses on the upper lighting signature. Earlier test vehicles have indicated a split arrangement, with the main headlamps positioned lower down. At the rear, the lamps follow a similar horizontal-and-vertical theme. A black panel visually connects the lighting units across the tailgate, although the teaser does not confirm whether this entire section illuminates.

Geometric Alloys And Feature-Rich Cabin Expected

Hyundai has also shown a geometric alloy wheel design featuring machined silver surfaces and black recesses. The teased SUV wears 215/55 R17 tyres, surrounded by substantial black wheel-arch cladding. A parking sensor is visible near the front wheel arch.

Inside, the earlier design sketch showed a horizontal dashboard, a prominent display area and a raised centre console. Test vehicles have revealed dual integrated screens and a steering wheel with Hyundai’s four-dot detailing. A sunroof and a 360-degree camera setup have also been spotted during testing.

India Positioning And Powertrains Awaited

The India-spec Bayon is expected to slot between the Venue and Creta, with an overall length exceeding four metres. Petrol engines are expected to form the core of the lineup, while a factory-fitted CNG option remains a possibility.

For now, October 12 is the confirmed date for the global unveiling in Paris. With Hyundai’s Indian teaser campaign already underway, attention now turns to the announcement of the local reveal schedule and the differences between the two versions.
