Anyone looking for their summer rom-com fix should take note: Jennifer Lopez has a new love interest. The pop star, actress, and IndieWire Honoree leads the new Netflix movie “Office Romance,” which pairs her with “Ted Lasso” star Brett Goldstein. The two are set to embark on a high-powered executive love affair in June, when the new film from “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again” and “Ticket to Paradise” director Ol Parker hits the streaming service.

An official synopsis for the film reads: “Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein lead this charming and raunchy romantic comedy. Lopez plays a powerful CEO, and Goldstein is her airline’s newest lawyer. Their secret Office Romance takes off when these two workaholics stop playing by the rules and start following their hearts.”

“Office Romance” is written by Goldstein and Joe Kelly, with Aaron Ryder, Andrew Swett, Lopez, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina, Goldstein, and Kelly producing. Pamela Thur and Courtney Baxter are executive producers on the project. In addition to Lopez and Goldstein, the film stars Betty Gilpin, Amy Sedaris, Tony Hale, Bradley Whitford, and Edward James Olmos.

In preparation for the film’s release, Lopez updated her LinkedIn page on Wednesday to add her new “job” as both CEO and a pilot at the fictional airline Air Cruz.

“I’ve spent my career telling love stories. From coast to coast, from hotel maid to CEO, and for more than 25 years, I’ve driven narratives by embodying strong women across a broad range of exciting fields and professions. From weddings to second chances to once-in-a-lifetime connections, I’ve always been drawn to the magic, the chaos, and the vulnerability that comes with falling for someone,” the actress wrote in her bio on the networking website, cleverly referencing some of the other gigs she’s held in her various rom-com outings. “These days, I’m still chasing that feeling. The difference now? My experience allows me to take a 30,000-foot view of romance. No matter how elevated the stakes or how high-pressure the environment, I’m ready to strap in, take control of my own path, and navigate any turbulence with humor, authority, and grace.”

“Office Romance” will start streaming on Netflix beginning Friday, June 5. Watch the film’s first trailer below.
