2026 Oscars Winners List — Updating Live

Who will be the big winner tonight? "Sinners" or "One Battle After Another"? Follow along here for updates on film's biggest night.

by · IndieWire

The 98th annual Academy Awards are finally here after one of the seemingly longest awards seasons in current memory.

Many of the results on Sunday night were, a few weeks ago, expected to be foregone conclusions, with “One Battle After Another” poised to win Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor Sean Penn, and more to emerge as the night’s biggest winner. But the final week of Oscar campaigning before voting closed on March 5, post-BAFTAs and post-Actor Awards, yielded a real race, for once, as “Sinners” is a spoiler in top categories, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor Michael B. Jordan.

Anything could happen tonight, though IndieWire recently spoke to the show’s producers Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan about what we can definitely expect in terms of an expanded In Memoriam segment this year and musical performances from “Sinners” and “KPop Demon Hunters.”

Conan O’Brien will once again host the Academy Awards this year, which kicks off at 4 p.m. PT/7 p.m. ET on ABC.

Follow along for an updated winners list below, and head here to learn how to watch the Oscars at home. IndieWire also ranked all the Best Picture nominations here. Plus, read staff predictions in all categories here, and Anne Thompson’s final predictions here.
