Priyanka Gandhi’s Historic Debut: Bigger Win Than Rahul

The Gandhi family has found some solace in today’s election results. Though the INDIA alliance was absolutely destroyed by the NDA in the Maharashtra election, the results in Jharkhand and by-polls in Wayanad are largely favourable for Congress.

Coming to the topic now, Priyanka Gandhi has now made her political debut official by winning Wayanad Lok Sabha seat by a big margin.

Priyanka won Wayanad by 3.94 lakh votes and this is a bigger margin of win than what Rahul achieved earlier this year by wining by 3.64 lakh votes.

Priyanka Gandhi has thus made a successful debut on the political front with this pretty significant win in the Wayanad constituency. However, Rahul Gandhi’s record breaking win from this constituency- 4.31 lakh majority in 2019 still reigns supreme.

This year’s bypolls in Wayanad were necessitated after Rahul Gandhi decided to vacate the seat for his sister Priyanka, after having won both Wayanad and Rae Bareli. Luckily for the Gandhi family, the Wayanad public have overwhelmingly sided with them again as they blessed Priyanka in a one-sided manner.
