When Dharmendra Recalled A Funny Scene With "Darling Friend" Rajinikanth From Insaaf Kaun Karega

The world has been celebrating Rajinikanth's 75th birthday with aplomb - all the more so with his film Padayappa re-released in theatres today. Amid all the celebratory messages, an old post by Dharmendra from their 1984 film Insaaf Kaun Karega has resurfaced.

The Clip

In the video, Dharmendra and Rajinikanth, as screen characters in Insaaf Kaun Karega, are seen having a heated confrontation. It then leads to a mock fight scene, where the two actors eventually end up hugging each other.

Rajinikanth says, "Dekh. Mujhe Kung Fu, Karate sab aata hai. Tumko kya aata hai?"

Dharmendra replies, "Aloo parathe aate hain."

Sharing this clip earlier, Dharmendra had written, "Rajini, a darling friend, a great actor.... A funny scene with him..... Hope you will enjoy it."

He had also written, "Lovely clip, full of fun.... Kakoli, those were beautiful days..... and some of my comedy scenes .... I used to write myself. I hope they will understand my mixture of Hindi, Punjabi....."

Dharmendra and Rajinikanth had also worked in Farishtay (1991).

Rajinikanth Remembering Dharmendra

Dharmendra died in Mumbai on November 24 at the age of 89. The legendary actor, Bollywood's iconic 'He-Man' and star of over 300 films, died 12 days after being discharged from Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital. Dharmendra was cremated at the Pawan Hans Crematorium in Mumbai on November 24 amid tight security.

Rajinikanth took to X to share a post. It read, "Farewell, my friend. I will always remember your golden heart and the moments we shared. Rest in peace, Dharam ji. My deepest condolences to his family."

Dharmendra Prayer Meet

Veteran actor, BJP MP and Dharmendra's second wife, Hema Malini, hosted a prayer meeting yesterday at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre, Janpath, New Delhi.

The first prayer meeting, held on November 27 at Taj Lands End in Mumbai, was hosted by the Deol family and saw an overwhelming turnout from the film fraternity.
