Prince Harry and Meghan were greeted by a crowd of cheering fans in Nottingham on their first official engagement as a couple since their return to the UK.
Schoolchildren and fans were among those lining the street in St Ann’s on Thursday morning (October 15), during the couple's first stop of their visit.
Among those queuing up at the barriers was Irene Hardman from Ruddington, who famously handed Harry two bags of Haribo for his children during a previous trip. The 90-year-old royal superfan was embraced by the Duchess of Sussex, who gasped as she spotted her in the crowd.
The couple paused for photos and received flowers from members of the public before heading into the Community Recording Studio, where they are meeting young people who have benefited from the charity's work.
The Duke and Duchess will then head to Himmah, a Nottingham charity tackling poverty, food insecurity, racism, and social exclusion.
This visit will be in two parts, beginning with a stop at the Himmah Hub for cooking classes and a meal, then on to the organisation's food bank.
The final stage of the visit will incorporate a trip to Epic Partners in Sneinton, a charity supporting children, young people and families in St Ann's and Sneinton.
