Strictly's Pete Wicks and his dance partner Jowita Pryzstal are creating quite a stir with their increasingly close relationship, causing speculation to swirl.

The dynamic duo delivered a fiery performance with their paso doble to "Breathe" by The Prodigy. Despite Pete's striking black leather look and their combined efforts, they secured just 17 points from the judges. Head judge Shirley Ballas criticised the routine as "repetitive" amidst boos from the audience.

Meanwhile, judge Anton Du Beke pointed out some issues with Pete's timing, prompting the former TOWIE star to quip, "I've got no rhythm mate! ". Yet, with the rumours of their chemistry circulating, the couple seem unfazed, continuing to enjoy their practice sessions in preparation for the next live show.

During an appearance on the Strictly spin-off 'It Takes Two' on Monday (September 23), the pair opened up about their time on the series and their blossoming partnership, as reported by the Manchester Evening News.

Pete expressed, "I am absolutely loving it and I never thought I would be because I didn't think this was really my thing. I'm not a dancer. I don't think I have rhythm. But what I am loving is the whole learning experience and that the bit that is most exciting for me, in the rehearsal room with Jowita."

In a touching moment on air, he announced: "It's my favourite bit because I'm a bit geeky and I love to learn something that's really and utterly new to me, it makes me really happy. " He then looked lovingly at Jowita, adding: "And she makes me really happy every day," which prompted a sweet response from co-host Janette Manrara: "Aw, you guys. This is cute! ".

After the show, Jowita took to Instagram to post a series of behind-the-scenes photos, capturing both their professional poses and playful selfies. She introduced their social media presence with the caption: "Our first It takes two aka 'Just the two of us' (by @p_wicks01). Thank you for having us."

Their evident chemistry was not lost on fans, who quickly expressed their admiration for the pair's connection. One fan commented: "I know I shouldn't say this, but you guys have major chemistry. " Another, under the username @covlar, remarked: "This partnership is fit. Chemistry is [fire emoji] such potential already! ".

One fan humorously observed: "There couldn't be more chemistry if you chucked a Bunsen burner between them! " A third shared their enthusiasm: "I mean... Can't get enough of you two. " And yet another fan praised: "Loving this partnership you look great together."
