Photographer recreates Dark Knight Rises scenes at Nottingham's Wollaton Park

The Dark Knight's filming in Nottingham has been recreated in a series of striking photographs taken at the very spots where Hollywood's cameras rolled. Photographer Thomas Duke has meticulously sought out the exact tree, lawn, and pathway featured in the climactic scenes of Christopher Nolan's 'The Dark Knight Rises', which famously used Wollaton Hall and Deer Park as the setting for Wayne Manor.
By printing out stills from the finale of the Dark Knight trilogy and matching them with their real-world counterparts, Thomas has crafted an impressive collection of images, which he has showcased on his Instagram account @steppingthroughfilm. However, creating these photographs was far from straightforward.
In an Instagram post, Thomas revealed: "I've now re-created two scenes from the ending of The Dark Knight Trilogy and this was by far the hardest out of the two."
"It looked so easy but oh no. It was really troublesome and took some time."
"With big blockbusters like this, especially Nolan, I've found that the perspective is often skewed with reality therefore making lining sections a little difficult."
"It was my first visit to Nottingham so that was a plus. Wollaton Hall was something special. An extremely grand, rich, stone covered piece of architecture full of history."
