ITV The Chase's Mark 'The Beast' Labbett reunites with former partner for co-parenting duties
by James Brinsford · NottinghamshireLiveMark Labbett's former partner has dazzled fans with her transformation as they came together for co-parenting duties. The 59 year old quizmaster of 'The Chase' fame, who parted ways with his partner five months past, appeared joyful as he shared a moment with his ex, Katie, aged 31, to whom he remains legally wed.
Sharing on Instagram Story, Mark delighted followers by posting an image of the pair during a day out with their young son, Lawrence, taking him to an adventure park. Katie, also known as Mark's second cousin, struck a pose for the camera donning a monochrome polo neck and sporting gleaming platinum locks that draped over her shoulders.
At the Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden for The Making of Harry Potter tour, the post was captioned by Mark: "Co-parenting in London part one #wbtourlondon. Little Monster loved the Forbidden Forest."
Their relationship opened yet ended in 2020 after a seven-year stretch, attributed by Mark to their age difference and the lockdown acting as a wedge between them.
He disclosed his departure was to allow Katie her own romantic pursuits. She, meanwhile, a nurse by profession, cites not only Mark's commitments to 'The Chase' but other reasons too for their separation, admitting her bond with Scott influenced the outcome of their marital journey, reports the Mirror.
Mark and Katie's online encounter blossomed into love after meeting on Facebook in 2010, with Katie confessing that Mark was a stranger to her at first. She shared about those days: "I had never heard of Mark, or watched The Chase, but my gran mentioned him so I was intrigued."
Their bond grew stronger over time, leading to an engagement in October 2013.
Mark, affectionately known as 'The Beast' from ITV’s The Chase, has recently ended things with his girlfriend, Hayley Palmer, after a year due to his reluctance to divorce his wife, Katie. Speaking about the break up with Hayley just after their anniversary, Mark attributed the split to his own age-related issues, candidly expressing to The Sun: "It's me, I got old".
Adding to this, he reflected on his relationship with Hayley stating, "She's [Hayley's] a lovely lady and I was very lucky to date her for a year, and as I said...it's me, I got old. There's been no one since Hayley, I'm not saying there won't be another one. But I'm certainly not looking."
