Sneak peek at breathtaking new experience coming to Nottingham

More than seven million people around the world have visited — now it's Nottingham's turn

A striking immersive experience showcasing the work of two legendary artists is heading to Nottingham for the first time.

Visitors will be transported and enchanted by the work of Claude Monet and Vincent Van Gogh at the Motorpoint Arena, starting on Saturday, July 18.

Due to overwhelming demand, an additional weekend has been added at the end. Art lovers will now have until Saturday, August 8 to attend Beyond Monet, while Beyond Van Gough will come to an end on Sunday, August 9, making it the longest ever event staged at the venue.

Special Beyond Yoga sessions will also take place at 9am on both additional days, giving participants the unique experience of practising movements amid the artists’ mesmerising masterpieces.

More than seven million people around the world have enjoyed the experience, including 250,000 in the UK since Beyond Van Gogh launched in Liverpool in 2024.

This year, marks the centenary of the death of Claude Monet, hailed as the ‘Father of Impressionism’, who passed away at his home in the Normandy village of Giverny on December 5, 1926, at the age of 86.

Beyond Monet: The Immersive Experience is the only show of its kind dedicated to the artist currently in the UK celebrating his ground-breaking work in bewitching style, with cutting-edge technology breathing new life into more than 400 of the legendary French painter’s canvases, taking visitors on a spectacular and unforgettable audio-visual journey through his captivating and colourful world.

It brings together famous paintings Poppies, Impression: Sunrise and his exquisite Water Lilies series and lesser-known works which swirl around the space, offering a fresh and exciting new perspective.

Beyond Van Gogh showcases more than 300 of the Dutch post-Impressionist's paintings with a curated musical soundtrack telling the story of one of history’s most influential artists.

Visitors will be able to wander through iconic works, including The Starry Night, Sunflowers and Terrace of a Cafe at Night, as they come alive around them.

Tickets for the new dates go on sale at 9am on Monday, June 15. Timed entry tickets feature a range of options including special family tickets

Beyond Monet and Beyond Van Gogh are produced by Annerin Productions and Paquin Entertainment Group.

"The decision was made due to demand for tickets at Motorpoint Arena Nottingham. “Our residency, which opens in just four weeks’ time, coincides with the summer holidays, making it the perfect day out for families looking to create special and lasting memories together.

Entry starts from 10am, with tickets from £14 for the experience and yoga classes priced £36.62. Family and VIP tickets are also on sale at beyondvangogh.co.uk or beyondmonet.co.uk.
