Coronation Street star Melissa Johns has tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony, surrounded by loved ones. The actress and disability rights activist, known for her role as Imogen Pascoe on the ITV soap until 2019, married her long-term partner, Dan Hampton, in Hertfordshire on Friday.

Sharing photos from her special day on Instagram, where she looked stunning in a strapless ivory lace dress, Melissa expressed her joy to her followers, stating her heart was "full". Alongside a photo of herself and Dan, who looked dapper in a charcoal suit and paisley-print tie, she wrote: "Good morning world, we're still in a bit of a bubble. It's really quite lovely in here. Think we'll stay a little longer... And hopefully soon we will have the words to describe exactly what October 11th meant to us. Our hearts are the fullest they've ever been."

Her post received a like from co-star Bhavnia Limbachia, who also attended the wedding.

Bhavnia, who played Rana Habeeb in Corrie until 2019 and worked with Melissa, who played Kate Connor's (Faye Brookes) girlfriend, responded to Melissa's post, writing: "Huge congratulations! What a beautiful day."

She also shared a photo of herself at the wedding, looking elegant in a navy floor-length dress as she danced the night away, reports the Mirror. Melissa Johns, who played Imogen in Coronation Street intermittently for nearly two years until her last appearance in July 2019, has since built a successful acting career. She currently stars as Miss Scott in the popular ITV series Grantchester.

The actor, born without her right arm, attended East 15 Acting School and was one of the first disabled actors to win a Laurence Olivier Bursary, awarded to promising emerging actors. In addition to her role in Grantchester, she has portrayed Hannah Taylor in Mike Bartlett's drama Life on BBC One and recently returned from her first US job, playing the lead in The Cockroach.

In 2022, Melissa made her West End debut in Donmar Warehouse's production of Henry V alongside Kit Harrington. In 2021, Melissa appeared on MasterChef and formed an unexpected friendship with Katie Price.

Despite being competitors, they bonded over their shared commitment to disability advocacy. Katie's eldest son Harvey is registered blind and autistic, and she has always been candid about his disabilities.

Speaking to the Mirror about her relationship with the mother-of-five, Melissa said: "I adore her. I think she's incredible. We exchanged numbers straight away and we've been chatting since the show. Our values and morals very much align in same place when it comes to the representation of disability."
