BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Dianne Buswell 'fights tears' as she makes sweet discovery
by Ben Lyons, Jessica Sansome · NottinghamshireLiveDianne Buswell, the BBC Strictly Come Dancing star, was moved to tears after discovering a heartfelt note and gift from her parents, Mark and Rina, days after they returned to Australia following their visit to the UK. The couple had travelled from Down Under to watch their daughter perform live on the BBC One dance show for the first time since she joined in 2017.
Dianne and her celebrity partner Chris McCausland aimed to reach week 11 of the competition, which coincided with her parents' visit. The emotional moment saw Mark and Rina witness their daughter lift the Glitterball trophy as the winner of the competition.
Following the win, Dianne spent the Christmas and New Year period with her family, including her boyfriend Joe Sugg, who had all come to the UK for the festive season. However, saying goodbye after seven weeks together left the Australian dancer feeling emotional.
She later shared a touching post revealing a note from her mother that read: "Thank you for the most amazing 7 weeks. Your generosity and kindness does not go unnoticed. Love always, Mum."
Dianne Buswell shared a heartfelt post on Instagram, featuring a note from her mum and a heart-shaped decoration from her dad. Alongside a photo of the note, she wrote: "Just found this letter from my mum [red heart emoji]," accompanied by a face holding back tears emoji and a single tear face emoji, reports the Manchester Evening News.
The note was paired with a heart-shaped decoration from her dad, which included a smaller chalkboard-style heart dated January 8 with the message: "Love you more. Daddy."
Dianne captioned this find with: "And then I just found this from my dad." along with another face holding back tears emoji and a string of hearts. This post follows a recent video and series of photos and clips showcasing the time she spent with her parents, Mark and Rina, during their seven-week visit to the UK.
In the video's caption, Dianne expressed her gratitude for the time they shared, stating: "And just like that 7 weeks has passed by and it's time for mum and dad to fly the nest back home to Australia today. But what a 7 weeks it has been. Honestly moments that I had only dreamed of came to life and the best bit was that my parents were right there with me. Already looking forward to the next time we can make memories together. Love you both very much. Safe travels home."
