BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Vito Coppola and Sarah Hadland's announcement leaves fans screaming 'OMG'

Vito Coppola and Sarah Hadland have sparked excitement among fans with their latest update as they gear up for another week on Strictly Come Dancing. The duo is back in training for week nine of the BBC One dance competition after delivering a stellar performance last weekend.

On Saturday night (September 9), they danced the American Smooth to "Proud" by Heather Small, which is a track famously associated with Sarah's character in the beloved BBC comedy series, Miranda. They earned a score of 33 out of 40 from the judges, who had mixed feedback. Craig Revel Horwood critiqued Hadland's hand positions while Shirley Ballas advised her to pay attention to "neater, smaller details".

Despite some criticism, there were compliments too, with Craig remarking: "The cartwheel, darling, into that lift was spectacular." However, the judges' stringent comments and scoring left some viewers feeling let down.

Moving forward, after securing their spot in the contest as it heads into week nine this Saturday (November 16) in Blackpool, Sarah and Vito have teased what's to come. During an appearance on It Takes Two on Monday (November 11), it was announced that the actress and the Italian dancer will be performing a couple's choice routine at the iconic Tower Ballroom for Strictly's annual Blackpool special, set to the music of pop royalty Kylie Minogue, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Vito revealed to It Takes Two host Fleur East that their performance will be set to Kylie's recent hit, Padam Padam, and described the style as "The style is Fosse-inspired..." with a blend of traditional and modern elements that will transport viewers between two eras. He also shared the news on social media, posting a video of himself and Sarah walking down the It Takes Two studio corridor in matching khaki green outfits, saying: "Tonight It Takes Two. Let's channel the energy of @kylieminogue for this week. It's Blackpool. In this week let's study Bob Fosse #teamtiramisu."

Fans were thrilled, including Kylie, who responded with "Yaaaassss! ! ! " @karldennissgray exclaimed: "VITO AND KYLIE. MY TWO FAVE THINGS."
